Las Charlas de Apple – episodio 2: Apple TV 4K, Apple Watch Series 3 y iPhone 8
This is something we all fear: despite its high price, many people have preferred not to buy the iPhone 8 and wait for the launch of the new iPhone X on November 3rd. And that is going to clash with Apple’s sales forecasts, which were lower than those we will have in a few weeks.
But according to a Chinese media outlet reflected in MacRumors, in Cupertino they are already taking steps to minimize the more than likely shortage of units we will have. Apple has already sent the first shipment of iPhone X to stores, and has gone from producing 100,000 units a week to 400,000 .
Unfortunately, that’s not going to solve the very high demand we’re going to have with the iPhone X. The difficulty in manufacturing the cameras that make Face ID possible would be the main reason for a very limited production. A clue about the expected demand could be found in Apple’s next financial results, scheduled for November 2nd.
But until that date comes, I’m afraid I have to recommend you a lot of patience if you want an iPhone X. You probably won’t be able to buy it the first day, the first week or the first month after its release. If you want to avoid queues and complications, it’s best to book it from October 27th and have it at your house when it arrives.
