Facebook is preparing an application to publish images in a similar way as Instagram does for example, with the social add-on of our Facebook account. Facebook handles 6 billion pictures a month.
Techcrunch has received images and documents showing what would be a new Facebook image sharing application with the internal name ” Hovertown ” or also ” WithPeople “. The application is said to be impressive and independent of the current Facebook application, although it could be integrated in the future.
At the moment we only have an image of the supposed new Facebook application, in which it shows a stream of uploaded images, which can be commented on or marked “Like”. It is also possible that quick filters can be applied in the same way as Instagram.
At first you might think that Facebook and a photo application don’t make much sense, but on Facebook 6 billion photos are posted every month and it has 100 billion photos in total, apart from the millions of users it has currently. Techcrunch, will publish tomorrow all the content they have received.
