Is an iPad a computer? Well, not exactly, although Apple likes to say yes. In a way this question makes some sense because of the new possibilities that these devices offer with the arrival of iPadOS. Precisely to enhance this section Apple could be very close to presenting a new generation of iPad Pro in a supposed event to be held at the end of October. Here we tell you all the details about the new iPad Pro that we know so far.
What’s new with the new iPad Pro?
The year 2018 was a turning point for the iPad, at least for the ‘Pro’ range. Android tablets had always been characterized by a similar design in which the screen coexisted with pronounced frames and a home button similar to that of the iPhone 8 and earlier. However, this year’s iPad Pro brought with it a complete redesign: on the front, a front with hardly any frames, a Face ID that works even horizontally, a curvature of the edges similar to the iPhone 5 and even a second generation Apple Pencil.
While the rest of the Apple iPad has continued to maintain the classic design, the truth is that on the iPad Pro it seems there will be no going back. The current design is working quite well and it doesn’t look like the aesthetic changes are going to be a novelty in the new equipment that they present. However, we are left wondering if the 11 and 12.9 inch screen that we currently have will be maintained.
At the rear no revolutions are expected either as a change of construction material or similar, however there might be some change in the camera . Some reports say that the new iPad Pro would have a double or even triple camera with a design similar to that seen on the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. However, these lenses would not be focused mainly on taking pictures, something unusual with a tablet, but would be dedicated to professionals working with augmented reality.
The main novelty, and one that is not insignificant, would come in the internal components of the iPad Pro. The A13 processor of the latest iPhone could make its appearance on the iPad with an adaptation for your system, which could be called the A13X Bionic chip. This would mean more power for this device, capable of carrying some features such as enhanced external storage device management with iPadOS.
When is the new iPad Pro going to be released?
Apple chose the last months of the year to introduce and launch all its generations of iPad Pro. It is therefore normal to think that before the end of 2019 the fourth generation will be presented. If so, we could see it in this month’s hypothetical event if the event of October 29th finally takes place.
But on the contrary to the previous date we find some rumors and information from many analysts that perhaps in this 2019 we would not see a new iPad Pro and that Apple would be reserving it for the first quarter of 2020 . This is not unreasonable from an economic point of view, as everything points to the good sales of iPhone 11 boosting the company’s revenue by the end of this year. However, it would break with the tradition of launching a ‘Pro’ range every year.
In any case, we will continue to inform and update this post with all relevant information concerning the new iPad Pro.
