Espionage is an application that simplifies the process of encrypting under a password any type of data on the system, so that the end user does not find it complicated. Based on typical Mac OS X drag-and-drop, Espionage allows us to drag a file folder into its window and set a password to access it.
In addition, the application is also capable of protecting data used by applications , such as messages saved in Mail. Everything is perfectly integrated with the system, and can therefore be used with the password key ring, with Spotlight and even with Growl alerts. The folder password reminder is also integrated into the Finder, so it doesn’t seem like you’re using an additional application.
A simple Espionage license costs about 11 euros (that’s if we take advantage of the half-price offer in effect right now), although by paying a little more we can get lifetime upgrades or family licenses. They also offer special prices for students and companies.
