Assuming access from the lock screen is enabled for Apple Pay, all you need to do is double press the Home button on the Apple lock screen to open Apple Pay immediately. If the direct access from Apple Pay seems to be the most appropriate for your iPhone and you haven’t activated it yet, don’t miss this tutorial!

Whenever you’re looking to turn the functionality on or off, that’s how you’ll be able to, obviously you need an iPhone with Apple Pay set up to be able to use it.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone with Apple Pay configured and go to “Wallet and Apple Pay”
  2. Under the card section, look for “Allow Access on Lock Screen” and activate the Double Click Start button switch.

If activated, locks the iPhone and then double-clicks on the Home button to immediately access Apple Pay. If you turn it off, Apple Pay will no longer be accessible on the lock screen.

Whether or not you want to activate Apple Pay on your lock screen depends on how often you use Apple Pay on your iPhone, whether you have an Apple Watch and use it there, or whether or not you rely on accessing this functionality by mistake.

Apple Pay is definitely useful , so make sure you have it turned on and that it matches your usage preferences for the best possible experience. If you’re on the street shopping, you can quickly check via Google Maps to see which stores have Apple Pay in the stores and shops registered in the Google app.
