Maxis, the company that usually offers games for our platform, has detailed with Electronic Arts more information about Spore , the expected game in which you have to deal with the evolution of creatures, as well as their progress as a civilization through the years.
Besides saying that the game will be released on September 7th , which we already knew, they have also detailed that there will be two versions of the game : the standard version for $49.99 (34.03 euros) and the ‘galactic edition’ for $79.99 (54.46 euros), including the latter a DVD of the making off, a related National Geographic documentary, a hardcover book on the art of the game, a poster and an exclusive 100-page book.
The game will come out in a box containing the two versions of the game (the Windows version and the Mac version). As for the minimum requirements, Spore will not be supported on computers with a PowerPC processor. In addition, the game will not be able to run on Intel GMA 950 embedded cards (card held by early MacBook, Mac Minis and some iMacs). If the developers have done it right, I suppose that on the same day, September 7th, we will also have Spore for the iPhone.
