Recently Apple updated its online store in the refurbished product section . This section, as you may know, includes Apple products that have been returned or have had a problem. They are repaired by Apple’s technical team and made available for sale again at a lower than normal price.
In this section we have been watching how Apple introduced different products and device models, from MacBook to iPad , but what we had never seen was an iPhone. Now, the iPhone can also be purchased from the refurbished section.
To start with Apple is launching the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in different colours and storage capacities . The basic models have a starting price of $449 and $529 for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus respectively.
As you may have noticed, we are talking about dollars, since are available for now only in the United States , where a new model costs $549 and $649, offering a discount of $100 and $120 respectively.
Why was the iPhone introduced in the refurbishment section? Since the iPhone is a product that sells very well in second hand , few came back to the hands of Apple. However, thanks to its annual renewal program for the iPhone, Apple is now faced with countless new devices returned by users, so it would be logical to introduce them to the refurbished section.
