This year, on November 12, the streaming platform created by The Walt Disney Company, Disney+, will begin its “broadcasts” in the United States. This is the proposal that the company has managed to form from the union of all its film and television studios, from Walt Disney Animation to Walt Disney Television , through Pixar Animation, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm and National Geographic. All of them will make up the Disney+ content library.
The new streaming service will come to compete directly with the entire arsenal of the world’s largest media and entertainment giant in an offensive that already poses a threat to Netflix, HBO or even Apple, which is also planning the launch of Apple TV+. The Disney+ offer will combine, as presented at D23 Expo , both the library of films and series already created, and content created exclusively for the platform.
At the launch, Disney+ will feature all the classic movies from Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation , plus, it will also have several movies from Marvel Studios, as well as much of the Star Wars collection. As for the original content, we will be able to enjoy films such as the live-action of The Lady and the Tramp or the new High School Musical series: The Musical.
In addition, the most interesting thing about the new platform is that we will be able to enjoy all the content in the highest quality, with 4K Ultra HD resolution and support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision, as well as Dolby Atmos sound. All this in up to four devices simultaneously (iPhone, iPad and Apple TV included), with the possibility of downloading content for offline viewing and an interface that will allow us to create up to seven different profiles.
