Are you trying to work on something but keep getting notified with Twitter, Facebook, or other application-related notifications on your Mac? iTunes Notifier, añade notificaciones a iTunes
An interesting feature of the system is that we can deactivate the notifications momentarily and forget about them for a while. Specifically the notifications are deactivated during the day and automatically activated again the next day.
To make use of this feature you must scroll through the notification window until you see a hidden menu at the top of the sale with an iOS-style slider to disable notifications for the rest of the day.
If you want to be a bit more aggressive and remove the function from your system you can too and it’s not especially complicated:
- Navigate to: ~System Library CoreServices
- Find a file called: “Notification Center app” and rename it to anything else (that you can remember)
- Access the terminal and type in the command: “Killall Notification Center”.
Ready! Now you have deactivated the notification center, remember that if you want to activate it again you only have to rename the file to its original name.
