Counting the days until May 15th for the launch of Diablo III ? Then you’ll be delighted to know that this weekend you can try out a bite of the long-awaited Blizzard video game with an open beta that will last from tonight at 9pm Spanish time to Monday 23rd April at 7pm. To do so, you just need to download the Diablo III client for Mac from your Battle.net account (or create one if you don’t have one) and define a BattleTag, the new identification and communication system of the well-known online service.
The open beta allows us to play with each of the five heroic classes up to level 13 while slaughtering the hours of demonic creatures that dare to stand in your way or that of our group of friends. What will remain out of reach for the time being are the forums, the auction house based on real money, and the achievement for killing the Skeleton King. Time to time.
The game will be released next month for both Windows and Mac, although for one of those magnificent (note the irony) decisions whose reasons escape our simple minds, we followers of the apple will have to settle for practicing our English, since only the Windows version is localized to Spanish. That’s great.
