Taking advantage of the start of the Entrepeneur Camp event at its headquarters, Apple has published an issue the sea of round: that of the $120 billion that iOS application developers have earned thanks to the App Store since its launch in 2008. The iOS App Store remains by far the most successful software catalog in history.
And to show that this App Store is growing, it has also been reported that more than 25% of this money has been delivered only in 2018 . That’s more than 30 billion dollars that Apple has paid to the developers, to which we must add the part of the pie that stays in Cupertino. And if we look at the estimates of the latest CIRP study, the trend may be even more so.
AppleApple now has App Analytics for Developers on the Mac App Store
The study, conducted after completing a survey of 500 Americans about the loyalty of the mobile operating system they use, reveals that more people than ever before are staying on the platform with iOS. In concrete figures, 91% of iPhone owners buy another iPhone when they have to renew their mobile.
In the case of Android that loyalty rate is 92%, both platforms have broken records. However, the rate of increase of loyalty in the case of iOS is higher, and if the trend continues we could see iOS loyalty become higher than Android’s for the first time in history. More reasons for developers to continue to prefer iOS for distributing their applications, although a greater reason is that the App Store is the one that captures a large part of the revenue in the mobile application market.
