As part of a new advertising campaign, Apple has published a new video on some of its YouTube channels, but this time it is not just any video, but rather a short film. The French director Michel Gondry has made “Detour”, a short film exclusively recorded with the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus .
“Detour” tells the story of a French family travelling by road for a holiday to a beach village. The short film is full of extravagant characters, dramatic music and an incredible story behind. In this Michel Goondry has experience, won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for his work on “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”.
But what interests us about all this is how the short film was made. And it is not in vain that Apple is promoting it, since it has been recorded with the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus only . Thanks to its powerful 4K camera and above all to the accessories that can be connected to the iPhone via Lightning to offer more information and speed than via Bluetooth, for example microphones for better sound.
Together with the short film, Apple has launched a series of clips showing the “behind the scenes” that show us how Gondry has worked on this short film . We can see the director’s methods to record with the iPhone as well as the different accessories we have commented before. In short, having an iPhone like the iPhone 7 Plus or even previous models, what limits us today to bring out our creativity and our projects?
