Darkroom is the new photo editor that is hitting the App Store hard. An application with very interesting details for all those users who seek greater control when retouching the photos they take with their terminals.
But of course, being just another publisher is unattractive when you consider that there are already many applications. Therefore, we could say that the key features of Darkroom to attract users are the following.
- The use of the Curves, thanks to them we will be able to obtain the ideal tonality in our photography thanks to the total access of the RGB channels
- Complete history of changes, i.e. saves each change so that we can go back if necessary
- Possibility to create custom filters
To all the basic features that we can ask a photo editor Drakroom adds three more interesting options. Especially for advanced users of applications like Lightroom that allow you to create your own filters.
Compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, the requirement is to have iOS 8 or later. So, if you want to try an interesting editor ahead, the application is free although to access some options we will have to make an integrated purchase.
Darkroom is, in my opinion, what Lightroom Mobile should be . Too bad Adobe doesn’t think so. Fortunately we have this great proposal that we will see how it continues evolving. By the way, it automatically converts any photograph to a square format (adding stripes to the sides or top and bottom borders) to share it on networks like Instagram.
