The tablet market is on fire right now. After the presentation by Apple of the iPad Mini and the iPad 4 (which will arrive at the stores of the first countries next Friday, November 2nd), now Google has come out to present changes in its Nexus line, changes that in the tablet business include a new 10 inch model to fight “from you to your” with the Apple iPad.
The Nexus 10 arrives to compete with the iPad 4
The new Google tablet, the Nexus 10, has been manufactured by Samsung and among its features we could highlight a 10.055-inch screen with a resolution of 2580×1600 (300ppp), that is, a screen with a higher density of pixels than the Retina that Apple mounts on the iPad 4 and that stays at 264ppp. It also has 2GB RAM (compared to 1GB on the iPad 4). The rest of the features are quite similar to those of the iPad 4, with some exceptions, such as that it is only available in two different capacities (16 and 32GB), there is no version with LTE (or 3G) connectivity, and of course the same thing happens as before, and that is that the final finishes are not as good: it is built with plastic instead of a more resistant material such as aluminium in the case of the iPad.
Of course, each user must assess their needs and tastes when buying a tablet (or any other product). In the image that accompanies these lines you can see a comparison between the characteristics of different tablets.
We took the iPad 4 without a second’s hesitation. The total integration between software and hardware seems to us a great way to achieve the maximum possible performance and the quantity and quality of applications available for iOS is infinitely greater than on Android. Which one do you get?
