MacRumors y Electronista
However, a series of new data is beginning to suggest that we may see a new iPhone this summer as we do every year.
We started with something that has always given quite reliable clues about the release date of a new device: the shooting of the ads for it. Last night, information appeared about a casting on Craigslist (a classified ads portal) for the shooting of an ‘iPhone 5’ ad . A similar ad appeared a month ago according to MacRumors, and both require the role of happy people in a family environment.
It is not very reliable that one of these castings explicitly mentions an iPhone 5, although the offer was removed after two hours and in last month’s announcement they simply mentioned the iPhone without specifying generation. Another thing that occurs to me is that perhaps Apple wants to shoot new ads for the iPhone 4, but already equipped with iOS 5 .
Another clue comes from the United Kingdom, where according to Electronista, the iPhone press department in that country has offered local press flights to San Francisco to attend WWDC 2011 . These advantages for the press indicate that Apple could launch a new device at the event after all. There are less than two weeks left for WWDC, and that means that we should soon receive official confirmation from Apple with date and time of a keynote (if they follow the plans they have been using every year, of course). We will publish this data as soon as we receive it.
