This already starts to scratch the absurd. If Apple’s response, at least provisionally, to the antenna problems of iPhone 4 experienced by some users was to give away a free Bumper to everyone who requests it until September 30th, now these photos come to light which seem to point to the fact that the company’s official cover can damage the metal frame of the phone.
Apple’s Bumpers are made of molded plastic but feature metal buttons for volume and power that, if this story holds up, could scratch iPhone 4 after just a few days of use. I insist, if this is not an isolated case and more users start noticing the same problem the thing could be very expensive for Apple, much more than those 175 million dollars that would be costing the gift cases.
Have any of you who have the phone and use this case noticed anything? I usually think that you always have to take these kinds of subjects with a grain of salt because there are too many interests at stake to believe the first guy who appears on the Internet saying something so… absurd? Fingers crossed.
