Little by little we are approaching the first year of life of the Apple Watch and there are more and more accessories that can be found on the market for this device from the apple company. In the days leading up to CES 2016, which will take place in Las Vegas from January 6 to 9, Belkin has taken the opportunity to present the “Watch Valet Charge Dock”, a charging base for the Apple smartwatch .
The accessories manufacturer wanted to get a few days ahead of the start of CES 2016 which kicks off today to present its new product for the Apple Watch to the world. It is the Watch Valet Charge Dock, an accessory that has a somewhat long name, but with a very simple and beautiful design.
This is the second charging cradle Belkin has launched for the Apple Watch with integrated magnetic charger , which means that the user does not have to use the smartwatch’s own charging cable to use the cradle. Below we tell you more details of this Watch Valet Charge Dock related to the design, use and also the price for which you can find it on the market.
The new charging base for the Apple Watch presented by Belkin features a heavy square base made of white plastic, from which a small silver-coloured chrome arm emerges to hold the Apple Watch at a perfect viewing angle. This accessory is compatible with all models of the watch with the strap attached.
However, since the watchOS 2 is a charger base that works in vertical mode, it cannot be used in the watchOS 2 bedside table mode, as it requires the Apple Watch to be positioned horizontally. The power for the charging cradle is provided by a 4-pin USB cable that is included and is connected at the back, and as we said before it comes with a built-in magnetic charger.
The new Watch Valet Charge Dock will be available on the Belkin website for £89.99 , a cheaper price than the first charge dock they launched for the Watch last October. This other base also has a Lightning connector for charging both the iPhone and the Apple Watch and can be purchased for £129.95.
