Barack Obama is a staunch supporter of BlackBerry. He moved heaven and earth to be able to continue using it as soon as he was elected president of the United States and got a special terminal for it, but with very little flexibility and a very tight schedule. The press recently asked him what he thought of the iPhone , and the president has revealed that he cannot use it for security reasons .
Interestingly you can use the iPad , probably because the phone component does not exist in that terminal and therefore is easier to protect. But it is ironic that Obama (who compared Apple to the mythical American dream ) cannot use one of the most used smartphones by all Americans.
Things change when we look at his family, since the president’s daughters have iPhones. I don’t even want to imagine how complicated it must be to pass data between the Obama’s phones, between the difference in platforms and the endless layers of security that their systems must have.
