Apple’s website asks Chinese citizens to use their official chargers

The Next WebMás información
Following the fatal accident of a user from China with her iPhone and an unofficial charger, Apple has decided to publish a special page on the company’s Chinese website asking to use the official chargers to connect both iPhones and iPads to the mains. On the page we can see images that help us to identify those official chargers, so we can prevent them from selling us fakes without us noticing.

Apple advises that official chargers can be purchased at any Apple Retail Store or at any authorized reseller. In that country there are many shops that are not official but try to look like it , which causes confusion among customers. At the moment the page is exclusive to the Apple website in China and there is no equivalent in other countries.

It is not a question of condemning all third-party manufacturers . Apple puts the seal of guarantee on many third party cables after checking their configuration, they simply recommend that they keep a close eye on what they buy, and that it is better to have an official charger rather than prioritise the cheap stuff. Cables and connectors hide much more than we think inside, and it is something that goes too unnoticed when we look at them from the outside.
