It seems that Apple has been holding talks with the Japanese company SoftBank to invest one billion dollars in a global investment fund aimed at financing technological advances.
The fund has been named the SoftBank Vision Fund, and could be worth a whopping $100 billion. SoftBank will invest $25 billion while the rest of the money will come from other investors such as the Saudi Arabian government which is contributing $45 billion.
In comparison, the billion Apple can give would be more like small change. But that small change will give you access to see what new emerging technologies are being worked on, something that Cupertino can take advantage of very well to get his agenda on track for the next few years .
From Recode they comment on the tip: the president-elect Donald Trump has shown a lot of support for this investment fund because it will contribute 50 billion to technology companies in the United States. If Apple puts its billions into that fund it could also soften the pressures that Trump applies towards the company to stop manufacturing its devices in China.
