Finally, the Apple Store at New York’s iconic Grand Central Railway Station will become a reality after withdrawing the original plans and resurrecting them shortly thereafter. Cupertino’s company has signed a ten-year contract for a huge store in that terminal . It will be the largest official store in the world, stealing the place from the current Covent Garden store located in London.
In the image above you have a plan indicating the space that the store will occupy: a whole side of the station, along with half of another of them. According to the New York Post, everything is spoken and signed, and the store will occupy a whopping 2140 square meters . It is expected to attract all the people who pass by that station, which are not few, so the investment will be worthwhile.
So, when? Well, Apple has yet to start working on the works at that place, and it’s not going to be easy. You have the necessary permission to do them, but you will need to work with a commission from the city of New York to modify any part of the building. While we wait, we can always save up for a plane ticket.
