By now, you’ve probably read a lot of reviews and reviews about the new Apple HomePod. You will have discovered its hardware, its software, its design, its audio quality, its potential to revolutionize the market…

But what you probably didn’t know yet is that the HomePod that Apple presented at the WWDC in San Jose (California) is not the first “HomePod” in history…

This is the Keecker HomePod, a futuristic egg-shaped robot with a built-in projector to watch your favorite TV shows, movies and series on any surface.

In addition, this HomePod also has a 360 degree camera with which you can take pictures, monitor temperature, humidity and air quality.

Additionally, and here comes the good (and disturbing) part… this HomePod plays music too!

In its original Kickstarter campaign, the company mentioned it as “the world’s first HomePod”. You can imagine his surprised and stunned face after finding out at Apple’s WWDC that Cupertino’s firm has also named its music playback device “HomePod”.

In legal terms, we are not clear whether this is a reportable event. But it wouldn’t be the first time that Apple ends up in court due to patent infringements.

At the moment the HomePod Keecker is not yet available on the market , so Apple will take advantage of it. The project should have been released in 2015, but probably for economic reasons it is not yet on sale.
