We now have definite dates after half a year of rumours: Apple will open its first Turkish Apple Store on Saturday April 5th at 10 am. This is what appears on the official website and on the posters that have been placed outside the store in the Zorlu Center shopping centre in Istanbul.
This opening will also have something peculiar: a celebration gala in which we will possibly see Apple’s CEO Tim Cook with Turkish President Abdullah Gül. With this one, Apple’s official stores will be spread over sixteen countries.
I bet you that as soon as what you see in the picture comes out, we’ll see a nice glass cube presiding over that gallery of shops. This Apple Store will be over two thousand square meters , and so we are talking about hosting two Genius Bars to be able to offer technical support to more customers at the same time. We will be waiting for the promotional banners to be removed so that we can see the store in all its glory.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who are sending us photographs of the Apple Store in Puerta del Sol, Madrid, whose facade has already been uncovered and which is less and less ready to be officially opened. That one, of course, will not be missed either.
