If you’re waiting for the launch of an iPad Mini 5, we have some bad news for you… Apple plans to discontinue the 7.9-inch iPad at some point in the future.
This is indicated by the latest rumours, which are supported by the lack of updates to the iPad Mini in recent years.
In fact, as early as late 2016, there was already speculation that Apple would rename the iPad Mini to the iPad Pro while maintaining its size.
The release of BGR does not specify when Apple’s iPad Mini will be discontinued, and sources have been unable to confirm whether the iPad Mini 4 will remain on sale for a limited period of time.
Recently the Bitten Apple company has introduced a low-cost iPad that replaces the iPad Air 3 , but this new model has not been called iPad Pro, but simply “iPad” as it is a special edition like the iPhone SE.
There is speculation that Apple will introduce a 10.5-inch iPad Pro and there are also rumours that the company plans to update the 12.9-inch iPad Pro model.
But if Apple starts using the “iPad Pro” nomenclature for all models, everything will become very confusing.
Apple introduced the original iPad Mini during 2012. Since the iPhone 6 Plus was launched in 2014, it has been said that Apple’s phablet was eating up sales of the iPad Mini . This would be one of the main reasons why Apple will stop producing new iPad Mini models.
A couple of months ago, the Japanese Mac Otakara blog revealed that the Bite Apple company was planning to launch a 7.9-inch iPad Pro with a Smart Connector that would replace the current iPad Mini. What do you think will happen? Will Apple forget about the 7.9-inch tablets or simply rename them?
