Apple Watch Series 3 LTE wins the game in smart watches

Canalys analyst Jason Low says the Apple Watch Series 3 LTE is the best-selling smart watch, all thanks to sales in Asia and Australia. Sales of Apple’s smart watch continue to grow at a fairly good rate.

Specifically, Californians have sold a total of 3.5 million units or 30% more than the second quarter of 2018. A really good figure, although not far behind other brands such as Fitbit or Garmin.

Apple is focusing all its efforts on turning the Apple Watch into a fundamental accessory in our daily lives, capable of motivating us to abandon a sedentary life or as Tim Cook himself calls it: “The new cancer of modern society”.

The Californian’s smart watch must be associated with an operator in order to be distributed in a country, in the case of Spain , we have no news about its sale yet. The only company that could distribute it in our country would be Orange . Maybe they will make the jump with the new generation (Series 4) that will presumably be presented in autumn this year, although there is no official confirmation about it.

The analyst, Jason Low himself, declares that thanks to the fact that the operators have accepted to resell the Apple Watch through their own offers, they have increased sales and the increase of new customers, in addition to “retaining” current customers. As a result, both the operators and Apple itself are the maximum beneficiaries.

This increase in sales is due to operators offering the Apple Watch in Australia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, India or South Korea. Airtel or Reliance Jio are the largest operators that distribute the Apple Watch Series 3 LTE in these countries.
