Apple wanted to satisfy the request of the millions of users who were crying out for a new version of its smart watch: the Watch. Thus, after a little over a year since the release of its first version, the Tim Cook boys wanted to introduce the world to the new Apple Watch Series 2.
The company’s new smart watch will not be arriving alone, as will bring as standard the new watchOS 3 operating system that was already presented during the last edition of WWDC. The new Watch Series 2 comes much more focused on athletes and is much more functional than the first generation.
The highlight of the company’s new wearable is its water resistance – and we’re not just talking about splashes – and the inclusion of GPS in its hardware . As for its degree of immersion, it only needs to be said that the new Watch Series 2 is designed so that swimmers can count on it when they are training or competing, and this is what they showed during the presentation.
Apple Watch Series 2, the important thing is inside
In terms of design, we have seen that Apple’s new Smart Watch remains the same as its predecessor and the sizes are still 38 and 42 millimetres. The colours available for the aluminium version will be gold, pink gold, silver or grey, while the steel version will have silver and black as its colours. In the case of the Apple Watch Edition of this series 2, we see that the material used is ceramic.

As for the screen, the new Apple Watch Series 2 still has AMOLED technology, this time we will have a much brighter screen thanks to its 1,000 nits . This is perfect for being able to see the wearable screen anywhere without ambient light being a problem.
The new Apple Watch Series 2 features the new S2 Dual-Core chip which according to the manufacturer is 50% faster and also incorporates GPS, unlike the first model. This makes the Apple wearable much more functional than the original model.
