The time for the market launch of the Apple Watch is approaching and Cupertino’s company continues with the previous promotion of the product. As usual, Apple does not carry out very aggressive marketing campaigns, instead it uses more subtle ones and in the case of the smartwatch it seems that it has opted for the fashion magazines . Specifically, on this occasion it has chosen the Australian edition of Elle magazine.
Elle has published a report that contains different tips for women to help them combine the Apple Watch with different clothes to go to events or to wear it at different times of the day .
It was the magazine’s own editor, Sara Smith, who was in charge of the photo shoot for the device, which gives us a glimpse of the importance that the wearable could have in the fashion market.
It is clear that Apple seeks to position the device as a fashion accessory first and then as a smartwatch. No doubt a somewhat risky move for a technology company like Apple, but it will probably bring very good sales figures and, seeing the criticism of its design and the acceptance of fashion magazines, it seems that it will have a place in this market.
With this report, Elle joins the list of fashion publications that have already had reports on the device in their issues . First it was Vogue, then the Chinese magazine YOHO and also the March issue of the US magazine AUTO. Now we must add this new issue of Elle in its Australian edition.
The Apple Watch will be available for booking from April 10th in some countries and will arrive in stores on the 24th of the same month. On these dates it will be available in the following nine countries: Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, United Kingdom and the United States. In the rest of the world there is no news of its official launch date, although we hope that it will not take too long to arrive.
