Apple quiere otro centro de I+D más, esta vez en Yokohama
How you can tell that the company is growing and the money in the till is still flowing: since the beginning of the year Apple is still renting new offices in Boston, in Israel and even in Cupertino itself seeing that with its new Campus 2 there is not going to be enough space to fit all the staff. And we don’t stop here, because now it turns out that Apple is planning to rent even more office complexes in San José .
It turns out that in Cupertino, there is literally no more availability of offices. So Apple has set its sights on this city, the largest in Silicon Valley and home to a quarter of the company’s Corporate division. The goal is to rent at least two complexes, which would add 16.69 hectares of new space .
San José can benefit from a late arrival of Apple in the city for the simple reason that there is no more room for offices in Cupertino
One of them is the one you can see in the picture, found by the guys at MacRumors, owned by Ellis Partners; and the other is a much larger complex that will be located near the San Jose International Airport. It would be the first time Apple would put employees in that city.
It goes without saying that this, for the local economy of this city with one million inhabitants, would be fantastic. Precisely in the source they comment how San José has offices of some technology companies but never of the biggest ones, like Google or Facebook. With Apple’s entry this could change.
