The software update process for AirPods Pro is not easy. There is no button within a set of settings that allows you to do this directly. Instead, the only thing you can do is the following :

  • Take out an earphone and close the case lid.
  • On the iPhone, go to Settings , General , Information , AirPods Pro .
  • There we will see the version of the firmware they have, the new one is 2D15.

If you don’t have this version yet, you should return the headset to the case and charge it. Leaving the iPhone close by while charging will cause the firmware to update, although it will take a few minutes to do so. To check if it has been updated, simply repeat the steps above.
