On the design page of Apple’s developer portal, they often post a number of resources for designers with each new release of their operating systems. These resources are nothing more than design elements, templates and icons for design programs such as Photoshop or Sketch.
Yesterday, Apple updated this page with new resources for iOS 10 that designers can take advantage of. Where’s the news? In a possible Dark Mode published among the resources.
If we look inside these files for Sketch and Photoshop, we find a series of elements that have existed in other previous versions and new ones. These new ones have the peculiarity of having the same form as the previous ones, but with a new palette of darker colors. A black background with elements highlighted in orange , for both bars and tabs buttons and other iOS elements.
It is rumored that iOS 10.3 will arrive in a few weeks, and as the main novelty it will bring a new dark mode that will allow us to navigate more easily in low light conditions. This new dark mode is expected to be called Theater Mode , but nothing is confirmed yet.
