Apple updates iPhone battery replacement prices

After the completion of Keynote 2018, the Apple Online Store opened its doors to showcase the new products introduced and to remove others. But these are not the only new products we saw after the end of the presentation event. Apple has also decided to update the battery replacement prices for both the new iPhone and the older models.

After last year’s battery scandal, Apple decided to open a battery replacement program for any affected device. With this program the change of battery in the Apple Store became only 29 euros, but this will be finished at the end of the year and we will have new replacement prices.

Apple’s support website has already updated iPhone service pricing, showing the rates that will apply to devices that require an out-of-warranty battery path . Please note that the iPhone Xs, Xs Max and Xr do not fall under this replacement program for £29 for obvious reasons.

The prices shown on the website are as follows:

The price of 29 ? we see that it leads us to a clarification that basically informs us that this price will be valid until December 31, 2018. From this date the battery change for all iPhones from the iPhone X to the iPhone SE will cost £49, except for the 2017 iPhone X which will also cost £69.

We recommend that if your battery doesn’t work very well or you want your device to last much longer, go to an Apple Retail Store and change your battery before prices go up.

Leave us in the comment box what you think of this new pricing policy that Apple will start applying from today. Do you think it is fair or too high?
