Apple has been sued this week for appropriating users’ SMS due to an iMessage error . There appears to be a long-standing error whereby iMessage retains the
SMS message sent to the user from iMessage, regardless of whether they are not still using it or their number or SIM card is being used in a different terminal.
That’s what happened to Adrienne Moore, the user who sued the company because she realized when she switched to Android that she wasn’t receiving her messages properly because iMessage was holding them back due to the aforementioned error. Specifically, the complaint is for ” penalizing and disabling the option to obtain all the features of your contract” .
This iMessage bug has been known for a long time and it is strange that Apple has not yet done anything to fix it as it is a very serious bug . In addition, the error itself has no solution , so if we switch to another terminal that is not an iPhone, it is likely that we will not receive the SMS messages from iMessage. Luckily, in Spain, Whatsapp is used more than iMessage.
