Apple signs ten-year contract for Grand Central’s Apple Store

NY Post reports that Apple has signed a contract with the MTA to open the world’s largest Apple Store in New York’s iconic Grand Central Station.

A few months ago we told you about the rumors that Apple might be planning to open an Apple Store in New York’s iconic Grand Central Station.

Well, it finally looks like it will. The NY Post reports that Apple has signed a ten-year contract with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to open the world’s largest Apple Store, some 2,000 square meters in Grand Central Terminal.

The store would take over where the Metrazur restaurant is now. Supposedly Apple would pay rent of $800,000 a year, much more than Metrazur is paying. It’s not officially confirmed yet but everything seems to indicate that it will be
