Apple has recently released a new commercial video on the Apple TV fourth generation highlighting the integration of Siri. The 1-minute commercial, entitled “The Kiss”, stars Alison Brie and Nikolaj Colster-Waldau, who you may know better under the name Jaime Lannister.
The TV ad comes just in time, following the official release of the final version of tvOS 9.2 , which offers users new features and functions such as Siri voice dictation, folder creation, new multitasking and more.
This Apple commercial is part of a series of videos under the slogan “The Future of TV”, referring to Tim Cook’s words in the Keynote for the Apple TV 4 presentation: “The future of TV is apps”.
In the commercial, which we will attach below, the two actors try to play a kiss during a scene in a movie, using Siri to go back and watch the scene again, until at the end Nikolaj gets romantic… With Apple TV you can use some voice commands to interact with the videos like “Go back 10 seconds”, “Go forward 45 seconds”, “What did you just say? “, “Remove the damn subtitles”, “Who’s the main character?” and a long etcetera.
In addition, with Siri, we can use voice dictation to perform searches in the applications and menus of tvOS 9.2, and even play songs from Apple Music, as shown in the TV commercial.
A few weeks ago Apple published another ad, this time without actors, focusing on the best applications of the moment on tvOS. And it was quite funny! We’ll leave it here for you:
