Apple sends information about its future campus to its new neighbors

9 to 5 Mac

When Apple bought the HP campus in Cupertino we knew something big was being prepared for such a large amount of square meters of land. Then we got more detailed information about the project. Steve Jobs presented the future campus, an impressive “spaceship” surrounded by trees. Now Apple is sending some brochures informing the new neighbors that will surround the future campus.

In these brochures they are informed about different aspects. The new campus will not replace the current one located in Infinite Loop 1. The idea is to provide a new space for research where about 13000 employees will work. The campus wants to obtain the LEED certification given to sustainable buildings. It will also provide means for its employees to reduce the use of cars. Do you remember the bicycles that Apple gave away?

The future campus will not be opened to the public . There will be an auditorium for product launches and events. It will also locate both the auditorium in the south area and the leisure and sports centre in the northwest area. The offices of Infinite Loop will remain as the official headquarters and possibly the top executives will stay there.

Finally, they invite the neighbors to send letters or access cupertino.org to comment or ask questions about the Apple project.
