It’s Monday and of course we have a new beta of iOS 11.2 and the rest of the operating systems as it is already Apple’s custom. Today they have launched the third beta of iOS 11.2 for developers only after the launch last week of the second beta . In addition, the corresponding third beta of watchOS 4.2, tvOS 11.2 and of course macOS 10.13.2 has been released .
What does iOS 11.2 include?
This new beta does not apparently include anything new, which can already be downloaded by all developers who have the profile installed on their terminal. We are already installing them on our respective terminals so that we can bring you any new features that may arise, although apparently they will all be invaluable, as they will solve performance and autonomy failures (which we hope will improve and not get worse).
Next week, the presence of Apple Pay Cash was highlighted, which includes a way to transfer money between two people through an iMessage message. With this, we can make quick transfers between two people we know, such as when we go out to dinner with someone and want to share expenses. The only negative is that not everyone has access to it, as it is only available in the US.
A new feature in this new beta is a correction of a bug in playing podcasts that didn’t let you mark them. Otherwise, only security and performance issues are fixed. It is also incorporated:
- Two new messages when disabling WiFi and Bluetooth clarifying that it is in a “sleep” state.
- A new indicator is added to the iPhone X battery icon, indicating when it is being recharged.
What about the rest of the betas?
In watchOS 4.2 beta 3 an error with the pairing with the iTunes Store has been fixed. An issue with displaying application icons has also been fixed.
In tvOS 11.2 beta 3 there are bug fixes like for example or when sliding between applications in the iPhone app . Now the response is much more fluid.
It will soon be available to all beta testers. Leave us in the comment box if you have installed them and what experience you have with them. It is already available for all public beta testers, although the experience is quite similar to the one we had in the other beta.
