Apple has just released the iOS 13.5 and iPadOS 13.5 Golden Master beta for developers which can be downloaded via OTA to the registered devices in the program or directly from the Apple website for developers. Apple has also released the Golden Master for Xcode 11.5.
In iOS 13.5, the final version of which should arrive before the end of May , we will receive such interesting news as the new API for exposure notification. In parallel Apple has released the GM of Xcode 11.5 with which developers will be able to create the apps that support the Exposure Notification API and the final version of watchOS 6.2.5 with bug fixes and performance improvements especially on older devices.
In this version we also found improvements in the operation of Face ID with masks. As we have seen, when Face ID detects that we are using a mask it now shows the keyboard directly so we can enter the code without waiting.
Last but not least, FaceTime will add a new setting where we can ask the system to keep all participants of a video call the same size no matter who is talking at the moment.
In AppleiOS 13.5 it will bring Face ID support with masks, FaceTime cosmetic “bullet” sizes and more
For now, let’s remember that this and all the other new features are in a beta phase, which means that they are operating systems in development and that they contain errors. From Apple we recommend waiting for the final version of the systems which, according to several sources, should arrive in a few days.
