Apple releases the fifth betas for iOS 12.2, watchOS 5.2, macOS 10.14.4 and tvOS 12.2

Apple has returned to the normal pace in its betas program because after the launch last week of the fourth beta of iOS 12.2, today they have just released the fifth beta of iOS 12.2, watchOS 5.2, tvOS 12.2 and macOS 10.14.4 but with hardly any news to highlight because as you all know they are saving all the news for the WWDC 2018 where they will present the new generation of operating systems that we all want to see.

In these last betas that we have had the opportunity to test on our iPhone we have not been able to appreciate any significant new developments. We have seen that iOS 12.2 will be very focused on the new AirPlay 2 compatible televisions, paving the way for their arrival, which is expected by mid-year according to various manufacturers.

As far as aesthetic innovations are concerned, we have seen a change in the design of the Wallet application, probably because they are preparing for the arrival of their own credit card, according to various sources close to Apple.

In this beta we only hope to see a better performance and maybe some change of icon in the control center as we have seen in the rest of betas. It is true that after testing this beta I have personally noticed an improvement in the performance and autonomy in my device, something that is always positive. We hope that some of the bugs that have been reported in the other versions will also be fixed.

The corresponding fifth betas of macOS 10.14.4, watchOS 5.2 and tvOS 12.2 for developers have also seen the light of day, with no new developments to highlight. Although these betas are only available to developers at the moment, in the next few hours we expect the corresponding public beta to be released for public beta testers.
