Apple has just released today the fifth OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan beta , for developers and beta testers. This fifth beta comes out only two weeks after the fourth one was released. This makes us think that the update for the general public is just around the corner.

As always, this beta (of build 15C48a) is available through the Apple developer portal and it is there and only there that we will be able to download it (if we are authorized) as a Software update. This update will not bring any major new features, but will help to improve the stability of the system.

Apple makes recommendations to developers and beta testers indicating where they should focus their attention to look for potential bugs. As in previous betas, attention is focused on Spotlight, USB, WiFi and networking . But also attention is drawn to the Mail, Photos and Calendar application .

I personally consider The Captain to be Yosemite’s Snow Leopard. Apple has achieved a very polished system that on my computers, one of them with more than 6 years behind it and the other moving towards the third one, has managed to give them new life.
