Apple releases iOS 6.1.3 and fixes security flaw in the unlocking screen

The latest iOS update, version 6.1.3, is now available for download. This update brings improvements in terms of Japan maps and bugs in the unlocking screen. As always we can now download the update from our device, it is currently reaching most devices and we expect it to be available to everyone within a few hours.

About three weeks ago Apple made available to the developers the beta version of iOS 6.1.3, a few minutes ago the final version of iOS 6.1.3

The improvements include fixing the security bug when unlocking the iPhone . A bug that has generated a lot of noise since its discovery and yet Apple has been able to fix it.

Another important improvement can be found in the maps of Japan, which include important updates . Since Cupertino already released these improvements to the Japanese devices before, now it seems that they have done it for good, but no other improvements have been found apart from those that were already known.

It seems that the size varies depending on the device in which we install it, but it does not exceed 20 Mb in any case. The update is available as an OTA (Over the Air) and can be found by accessing our Settings under Software Update under General . Remember that the jailbreak in Evasi0n does not work with iOS 6.1.3 anymore, so it is recommended to wait for a solution from the Evad3rs Team.
