If earlier this week Apple released the minor update to iOS 12.1.2 that fixed some bugs and eliminated issues with Qualcomm’s patents, two days later we have the first beta of the next version. Cupertino has just sent out the first beta version of iOS 12.1.3 for all developers. A new update that may take a few weeks to be available to users.
This new beta is something special, as it seems to be a “continuation” of the one we had prior to the release of iOS 12.1.2 How did this happen? iOS 12.1.2 has been a special and “unplanned” release . A very focused update to address the urgency Apple had with the Qualcomm patents in China. Therefore, it seems that they will follow the initial plan of the betas with 12.1.3 in the name instead of 12.1.2 as it was until now.

Don’t expect big changes in this new update , when Apple sends updates with such small numbers they are usually bug fixes and no big changes. The last big update we had was iOS 12.1, where Apple introduced FaceTime group calls and a few other changes.
iOS 12.1.3 is expected to reach other users within a few weeks. Usually Apple releases five, six or seven beta versions before the final one. In the meantime, developers or users who have an iOS device registered as a developer can install these earlier beta versions for testing and bug finding.
