Apple portrait mode announcement wins award at New York’s Art Directors Club

Apple lanza un anuncio para destacar (sí, otra vez) el modo retrato del iPhone 7 Plus

In 2016, the apple company launched the Portrait Mode on iPhone 7 Plus, a feature that allows you to take photos with a blurred background effect to give more value and presence to the main subject of the image. This is achieved thanks to the phone’s two cameras: the wide-angle camera and the telephoto lens.

After this launch, the portrait mode has received very good reception and comments. An example of this is that in the last few hours an ad created by Apple and the production company Furlined advertising the portrait mode, won an important award at the Art Directors Club (ADC) Awards in New York.

The ad won a total of three awards (which are listed as some of the most important of the event): the Black Cube award, the Gold Cube award and a Film Craft award .

In the ad called ‘Barbers’ we see how a small hairdresser takes advantage of these photos in portrait mode to show the hairstyles they do in their shop window, which attracts more customers and in turn generates more and more photographs. All to the music of William Onyeabor (the song is called Fantastic Man). Next we leave you with the ‘Barbers’ ad.
