A new Apple patent with possible improvements of some multitouch gestures has come to light, suggesting several types of gestures to scroll through a list of data at the same time as mentions an iMac or a laptop with multitouch technology .
The system described in the patent is simply the inclusion of new types of gestures to be able to vary the speed by which we move in a list such as our address book. When the list contains the data of hundreds of people, we can have a good time passing our finger over the screen to reach the end (if we choose not to use the direct access of the side letters), but thanks to this patent we could accelerate the speed of scrolling by moving the finger more quickly, or in repeated small gestures .
The most interesting part of the document is that when he has to mention the devices in which this technology can be applied he talks about desktop computers, laptops and smaller devices such as tablets and handheld devices. In other words, this is an advance that would not be limited to current devices such as iOS.
Whatever Apple has in mind for the future of its computers, it has to do with a touch interface. We can only hope.
