Apple Music updates with support for Chromebook

Apple wants to give its services the importance they deserve, which is why it has introduced three new ones to raise more revenue and encourage users to subscribe: Apple News+ , Apple Arcade and Apple TV+ . The first has more than 300 magazines and English-speaking media, the second more than 100 exclusive titles whose catalogue will gradually be extended and the third series and films in streaming, in the Netflix style.

Just because these services have been launched does not mean that I will neglect the existing ones. Currently, Apple Music is the one that provides the most profit to Cupertino’s people. There are more than 50 million users in the world who already enjoy the millions of songs and albums available. However, it still has some way to go to beat its main competitor, Spotify.

To achieve its goal of dethroning the king of streaming music services it is expanding its borders . It recently came to Amazon’s Fire TV devices and Echo smart speakers. But that’s not all, because it is now compatible with Google’s Chromebook.

For those who don’t know, a Chromebook is a computer that runs Chrome OS, Google’s web browser-based operating system, Chrome. Although anyone can buy it , it is perfect for schools because of its low cost and modest features , although one of its main drawbacks is that it requires an Internet connection most of the time for it to work.

Apple has just updated the Apple Music app on Android with a new search tab that makes finding music and playlists easier . However, as 9to5Mac says, support for Chrome OS computers is also added through the Android app.

Although some users managed to use Apple Music on Chrome OS successfully in the past it was not officially supported until now. No doubt, Apple is doing a good job. It just needs to bring it to the Google Home smart speakers, although it seems that it will take some time.
