Apple may start integrating Intel processors into iPhones from 2018

In the last few hours, a new rumor has emerged regarding Cupertino’s company smartphones. The difference is that on this occasion, it is not related to the imminent arrival of the new generation of iPhone, but to the one that will arrive in 2018 .

This is not the first news that comes from future generations -before the one that is about to come- of the iPhone. Not long ago we saw another rumor about the generation that should make its appearance in 2017, which was about the expected OLED screen . A technology known to all -for some time now integrated into the competition- but never before seen in the Californian firm’s mobile device.

This time the rumors go further, focusing on the generation of iPhone that would see the light of day in 2018. According to the Asian newspaper Nikkei , the manufacturer of processors for the current iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus -together with Samsung-, the Taiwanese company TSMC, could be displaced by none other than Intel , the world’s largest integrated circuit manufacturer.

It would not be the first time that both companies join . A clear example of this is the different computers and laptops presented by Cupertino’s company. But Intel wants more. It wants to get fully involved in the smartphone and tablet sector, and achieve the same prestige as in the computer world, where very few can approach its level.

The result would certainly be very good. It would be necessary to wait until the date indicated to know if this information is true or not, but everything to tip that this union would not be so crazy since Apple is looking for a manufacturer of equal or greater level than TSMC -surplus fingers of a hand for the candidates to it-, that could increase the possibilities of supplies and not be surpassed by the possible demand that could have the product.
