Apple is quietly improving its maps

Although Apple did not present news of its maps at the WWDC, we do know that there will be air tours and we will have directions by public transport. Well, the improvements of its mapping system are also underway , as several users have noticed that some incidents they reported are starting to be improved.

For example, lots of POIs (Points of Interest) have been added in different cities around the world. In addition to adding new points of interest, are also being placed in the right place, as there were some places that were being placed in incorrect locations .

This series of improvements is happening on a weekly cycle, as every Friday a lot of new changes are introduced in different cities. The rest of the week nothing changes, but between Friday and Saturday comes the flood of changes . So if we have sent in some bugs, they have most likely already been corrected. Open Maps and check it, and tell us in the comments if things have been fixed in your area.

It seems that the various map-related companies that Cupertino acquired last year are serving a purpose , and I’m sure this is just the beginning. The next step is the street view , that Google has already so advanced all over the world, but for that we still have to wait for Apple to launch the iCar to the market.
