Apple has ordered 15 million iPhone 5 for September

Apple would have ordered 15 million units of the new iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S from Pegatron (the maker of Verizon’s iPhone CDMA) by September of this year. It is expected to feature Sony’s dual A5 processor, dual mobile chip and 8 megapixel camera.

According to Digitimes, Apple has placed an order with Pegatron (the manufacturer of the iPhone CDMA) for 15 million iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S by September this year . Until now the iPhone was manufactured by Foxconn, like many other Apple products.

It’s not expected to have any major cosmetic changes, but we can be pretty sure that it will incorporate the iPad 2’s dual processor, the A5. On the other hand, it may also have a new Sony 8 megapixel sensor and a dual mobile chip , which means that there will only be one iPhone for both GSM and CDMA networks.

Some rumors have recently pointed out that there could be up to two different models of iPhone , an iPhone 5 and an iPhone 4S as I said at the beginning, to stand up to competition (especially Android) and offer a model as before and another cheaper. One if it would be a substantial change from the current iPhone 4, and the 4S would simply be an improvement, perhaps only of processor. Who knows, will have to wait as always, or at least wait for the prototypes to come out .
