Apple discreetly pulls out a Micro USB Adapter for Europe

Apple has quietly launched a Micro USB Adapter for iPhone to meet the European connector standardization guideline: with this connector we can charge and sync our iPhone, from 3G to 4S. We are waiting to know the price in Spain.

According to the European Union, all mobile terminals sold in Europe must incorporate a micro USB port to standardise chargers and connectors . As expected, we already knew that Apple would not go through the hole and sacrifice design for a ‘simple’ European directive. So the solution was easy.

From now on we will have a micro USB adapter for iPhone: on one side a 30 pin connection, and on the other, micro USB, that simple. We will be able to use it in any occasion that we do not have the cable of the iPhone but if the adapter and to connect it for to load and to synchronize.

At the moment it only appears in the English Apple Store, at a price of 8 pounds (waiting for the conversion to euro), and will start shipping on the 14th, the same day as the iPhone 4S. No doubt a good accessory that will make our lives easier, for some, since it forces us, just like with the cable, to always carry it with us.
