Cupertino’s people are investing a lot of money to increase their presence in American territory. If a few weeks ago it became known that they intended to expand the Seattle staff with 2,000 new employees, it seems that they are now planning to open new offices in the neighbouring country, Canada .
The location for the new facilities would already be chosen: the 400 West Georgia Tower , a 24-storey Vancouver skyscraper owned by Westbank Corp and Allied Properties REIT that is still under construction, but is estimated to be finished by spring 2020.

This building stands out because of its peculiar shape. Designed by Michael Sypkens and Esteban Ochogavia of OSO, Merrick Architecture, it functions both as an office complex and as a large statue, because from the outside one can see large spun glass cubes that have supposedly been inspired by Japanese paper lanterns.
Apple would occupy two of the 24 floors, according to Bloomberg. In addition, it is not the only US technology-related company that is being encouraged to open offices in the US, partly because immigration policies are friendly and the proximity to the US west coast.
These are not Apple’s first installations in Canada. As an Apple Insider account, it currently has offices in the 30-storey Brenmer Tower, owned by Southcore Financial Centre in Toronto .
