Not everything has been new product presentations today at Cupertino. The appearance of a much more social website for the keynote has been joined by the complete redesign of its corporate website , leaving behind the top menu that has accompanied us so much in recent years to move to a much flatter design and in line with the new times in web design.
This new design features a grey top bar that takes up the whole width of the window but in a rather shy way, as it leaves enough space for the different sections to take centre stage. The large photographs are now the protagonists, as well as the carousels with animation effects and the submenus in each section that help us to navigate through them.
In this new redesign each section has its own personality . Thus the Mac section shows us the different models with a submenu and some very funny effects on the laptop’s photography. In the iPhone section, the iPhone 6 takes on great importance with large images and a grid menu next to the word “Explore” that allows us to see all the features of the device; the same style is used in Apple Watch, with special attention to the customization of Cupertino’s new watch. And if we take a look at the iPad section, we’ll see that they make special emphasis on the ads we’ve seen so far.
Special mention deserves the online shop, which still has a similar design but with special attention, once again, in show the products with big images . It seems that Apple wants to make the most of the screens and show its products in great detail. Aesthetically, this new design is very successful, it leaves behind the previous one but it is not so groundbreaking as to be strange to the regular visitor.
